CECID and UTAP Strengthen Agri-Partnership

On November 21, 2025, Mazen Kayssi, Founder of the Center for Economic Cooperation and Investment Development (CECID), held a working meeting with Moëz Ben Zaghden, President of the Tunisian Union of Agriculture and Fisheries (UTAP).

The parties discussed concrete areas of partnership between Tunisia and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in the agro-industrial sector. Key topics included the supply of Russian agricultural machinery, establishment of stable fertilizer deliveries, and the development of joint educational and scientific-technical programs.

To advance these agreements, CECID invited UTAP to participate in the international exhibition Agrovia 2026 in Moscow. UTAP’s President welcomed the proposal and confirmed Tunisia’s intention to host a national pavilion and join the business program—particularly the International Forum “Food Security: Integration of Markets of Russia, the EAEU, the Middle East, and Africa.”

While the exhibition will serve as an additional platform for business dialogue, the core focus of the partnership remains on long-term, practical cooperation aimed at modernizing Tunisia’s agricultural sector and strengthening regional food security.
